Class Actions


Gravity Boost: As an action, the gravimancer can ease the burdens of gravity on one of her allies in the encounter. The targeted ally ceases to suffer any penalties from excess size (including the pinned status) other than tautness. While this effect is active, the gravimancer's Gravimancer's Grace trait is disabled. This reprieve lasts until the gravimancer uses this ability on a different target, or chooses to dismiss it on her turn. Dismissing gravity boost does not require an action. When exhausting any grav to empower this action, the gravimancer does not disable her Gravimancer's Grace for the duration.
   -Suspend Gravity: By exhausting an astral grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can apply this effect to all of her allies in the encounter, rather than just one. The effect ends at the start of the gravimancer's next turn.
   -Gravity Slam: By exhausting an ardent grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can forgo the usual effect to instead target an enemy, making a mystic attack against the target. The target suffers damage equal to its size, which is doubled if its size exceeds its capacity. Against creatures without a size score, this ability has no effect.
   -Catapult: By exhausting an erudite grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can move the target up to two zones in addition to the action's other effects, without provoking opportunity attacks.
   -Buckle: By exhausting a mordant grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can forgo the usual effect to instead target an enemy in the encounter, making a mystic attack against the target. On a hit, the target is Pinned until the start of the gravimancer's next turn.
   -Unburden: By exhausting a savage grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can relocate null gravs or stacks of the Bloated condition from her target into herself. She can relocate a maximum number of such gravs or bloated stacks (in any combination) equal to her spirit score.


Rebirth: As an action, the gravimancer can target a willing ally in the encounter, including (but not limited to) allies with zero vitality. The targeted ally is reduced to spiritual energy and safely stowed within the gravimancer's womb, occupying space as a size 1 grav. At the start of the gravimancer's next turn, the sheltered ally grows to the size of a size 3 grav, increasing by 2 additional size at the start of each of the gravimancer's turns. When the ally's size within the gravimancer's womb reaches a certain size, the gravimancer enters labor, making a [Strength + Spirit] check against a challenge rating equal to the rebirthed ally's size. The targeted size for is determined by the scale of the rebirthed creature - 1 for diminutive creatures, 3 for small ones, 5 for medium beings, and 9 for beings of Huge scale. The target size of a titanic-scale creature rests on GM discretion, but such a venture is generally a miserable one to say the least. On a success, the ally is rebirthed into the world at full vitality, rejoining the battle with an initiative equal to the gravimancer's initiative minus 1. If the ally had gravs, they remain near to the battle, and rush back to her the moment she is reborn. If the [Strength + Spirit] check fails, the gravimancer repeats it at the start of each subsequent turn until she succeeds. Allies in the process of being rebirthed cannot take actions, and are effectively removed from play. A gravimancer can rebirth multiple allies at once, tracking each one separately.
    -Second Chance: By exhausting an astral grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can allow the rebirthed ally to shed all conditions afflicting them, in addition to restoring their vitality fully.
   -Kicking and Screaming: By exhausting an ardent grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can allow the targeted ally to re-enter initiative the moment they are absorbed into the gravimancer's womb. The rebirthed ally cannot use any of their normal actions while gestating, but they can take a special action to make a [Strength + Agility] attack dealing [Strength] damage against enemies in the gravimancer's zone. The rebirthed ally makes one attack roll, comparing it to the evasion of each enemy in the zone. Each time such an attack is made, regardless of whether it hits or misses, the gravimancer herself takes 1 damage (which is not subject to tautness penalties).
   -Express Delivery: By exhausting an erudite grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can cause the rebirthed creature to be its maximum size from the moment it enters her womb, with labor beginning at the start of her next turn.
   -Unbirth: By exhausting a mordant grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can target an enemy within range of her weapon rather than an ally, making a mystic attack against the target. On a hit, the target is transported inside the gravimancer's womb and rendered unable to use most actions. Unlike an ordinary rebirthed creature, the enemy is full size from the turn they enter the womb. The unbirthed creature still acts on their initiative, and can use their action to struggle, making a [Strength + Strength] check opposed by the gravimancer's [Strength + Spirit] check. On a success, the creature escapes, appearing in the gravimancer's zone. On a failure, it deals [Strength - 2] damage to the gravimancer. A gravimancer can voluntarily forfeit this check. This action does not work on Boss monsters, which generally have a strength of will far too strong to succumb to such attacks.
   -Primal Rebirth: By exhausting a savage grav as part of this action,  the gravimancer can target a number of allies with one use of this ability up to her Spirit score.

Revitalize: As an action, the gravimancer can restore [Spirit + 2] vitality to an ally in the encounter.
   -Exorcism: By exhausting an astral grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can also convert up to one bane grav afflicting the target into a null grav, and remove a number of condition stacks afflicting them up to the gravimancer's spirit score.
   -Energized Assault: By exhausting an ardent grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can empower the targeted ally's next attack, causing it to deal additional damage equal to [Wits]. If the target doesn't hit with an attack before the start of the gravimancer's next turn, this effect fades.
   -Hasten: By exhausting an erudite grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can also prepare them to take a surge of motion when they need it most. The target gains a boon grav with the following effect: "At any time during one of your turns, you can convert this boon grav to a null grav in order to take the Move basic action for free". At the end of the encounter, the boon grav becomes a null grav.
   -Leech: By exhausting a mordant grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can target an enemy within range of her weapon rather than an ally, making a mystic attack against the target. On a hit, the target gains a bane grav with the following effect: "Whenever an enemy in your zone regains vitality, you lose an equal amount of vitality." At the end of the encounter, or after draining an amount of vitality equal to twice the gravimancer's wits score, the bane grav becomes a null grav.
   -Word of Life: By exhausting a savage grav as part of this action, the gravimancer can restore a total of [Spirit + Spirit + 2] vitality, distributed as she wishes across allies in the encounter. Using this effect causes the gravimancer to gain a null grav.

Class Traits


Equipment:  Gravimancers are not proficient in any armor. They are proficient in staves, tomes, and wands.

Gravimancer's Grace: No matter how large her cargo, a gravimancer's levitation ensures she is never denied her mobility. This is not true flight - few gravimancers can consistently maintain an altitute of more than a few inches, rising to a few feet with effort - but it greatly eases the burdens faced by these lifesprings of healing. A gravimancer is never pinned, no matter how large she might become. She still suffers all other penalties of excessive size, however, including agility reductions and potential tautness penalties.

Graviry Blast: When making an attack with a staff, tome, or wand, the gravimancer can choose to make a mystic attack rather than targeting evasion. If she does so, her weapon attack deals no damage, instead inflicting a number of Slow stacks equal to half her Wits score, rounded up.

Human
Resourceful, ambitious, and prolific, humans have spread to every city and every frontier. Human nations are some of the largest in the world, if not always the most stable, and this race can often be found as a substantial minority even  in realms dominated by others. With few truly noteworthy traits - indeed, the race is almost uncannily generic in many respect - many have speculated wildly on the cause of humanity's widespread success. Some, including many human monarchs, claim a blessing of the gods. But others point to a more terrestrial excuse: for whatever reason, nearly every race can find something attractive about the human form, and human family trees are some of the most comically entangled genealogies on the planet.

Regardless, humans  across the realms tend towards large families, and many cultures celebrate fertility and life. Maiesta in human lands rarely face their condition without aid or advice, and those blessed with that status are often celebrated (some might say spoiled) from the first awakening of their power.

   - It has been said that the gods favor the meekest and smallest among the races, and that fortune ever favors them. How else could they have endured so long, in a world so savage and vast? Whether or not this is true, some races do seem to have an odd sense of fate about them - an intangible edge that can't be measured in the way of the strength of body or hidden powers of their counterparts. Characters with the Blessed legacy can use this trait once per short rest to use a grav exhaust effect of their choice without exhausting (or even carrying) a grav of the approprite type. However, they may not select any knacks, and may only select one quirk.

Biography


History


Caitlin was born and raised in a small clan village on an island in the Southwestern Archipelago. According to custom, she, like many children in her clan, from an early age has been involved in the family farm. Now, when she settled in another Erudite Grav, some interesting details it cleared, but still a lot still remained a mystery. And so she decided to continue her quest despite the new difficulties.


A week later, on the feast day of Spring flowers, dedicated to the goddess of fertility, Caitlin, decorating with the help of her sisters and modify her dress belt with bags in his sword-belt, heartily celebrated with them.
